Grena Manley

Mary Ann Grena Manley is an environmental lawyer, policy analyst, and communications expert. As an independent consultant in the environment and sustainability arena, Mary Ann assists her corporate and law firm clients with communications strategy, content, business development, and public relations. For more than 20 years, Mary Ann managed Bloomberg Industry Group (formerly Bloomberg BNA and BNA Inc.) coverage and analysis of global environment, health, safety, and sustainability issues. With experiences cutting across law, journalism, policy, and marketing, she most recently  served as Deputy Editorial Director at Bloomberg before retiring to start 15E.

Throughout her career, Mary Ann has played a key role in identifying and initiating strategic relationships, collaborating with national partners, creating communications, branding, and marketing strategies, and developing new products. She has designed and executed social media campaigns, engineered conference agendas, panel discussions, webinars, and roundtable discussions, and is a seasoned facilitator and public speaker. She has presented at dozens of national conferences, including SXSW Eco, the National Brownfields Conference, ABA SEER, and a variety of Bloomberg-sponsored and client events. Her policy expertise includes environmental compliance, environmental due diligence, risk management, brownfields redevelopment, sustainability, and ESG.

 

Mary Ann received her Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from American University and Juris Doctor from Widener University School of Law. She is a member of the District of Columbia Bar. When she’s not busy helping her clients, Mary Ann’s interests include photography, hiking, yoga, D.C.-area sports, and local community issues involving underserved populations. Born in New York City and raised in New Jersey, she is a long-time resident of Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C.
